
David most recently starred as ‘Red Guardian,’ opposite Rachel Weisz, Scarlett Johansson, and Florence Pugh in Marvel’s highly-anticipated BLACK WIDOW, directed by Cate Shortland. Just a couple weeks prior, he played one of the leads in Steven Soderbergh’s critically-acclaimed NO SUDDEN MOVE, opposite Don Cheadle and Benicio Del Toro. The movie currently sits at a 90% on RottenTomatoes, and can be seen on HBO Max. This last March, David finished shooting Universal Picture’s VIOLENT NIGHT, alongside John Leguizamo, and directed by Tommy Wirkola, which is slated for release in late 2022.
David is most famously known for starring as “Chief Jim Hopper” in the hit Netflix show STRANGER THINGS. His performance has garnered him worldwide recognition, and he was nominated both for a Golden Globe for the Best Performance by an Actor in a supporting Role in a Series, and for an Emmy for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series. On stage David has performed in dozens of plays, his work in WHO’S AFRAID OF VIRGINA WOOLF? garnering him A Tony nomination. He is currently starting with Bill Pullman in Mad House at the Ambassadors Theater in London.
