
Rantz Hosely is the Eisner and Harvey Award winning editor in chief of Z2 Comics.
He started his career in 1987 as a storyboard artist on Aerosmith’s Dude Looks Like A Lady video, and has spent over thirty years working in music, video games and comics.
He’s adapted Robert Kiyosaki’s bestseller RICH DAD, POOR DAD into a graphic novel for Little Brown/Hachette, and won the Eisner and Harvey award in 2009 for COMIC BOOK TATTOO his anthology based on 51 songs by Tori Amos. In 2018, while serving as the Managing Editor for Heavy Metal magazine, he adapted Nikki’s Sixx’s memoir THE HEROIN DIARIES into a graphic novel.
He’s collaborated with scores of rock stars and bands including Judas Priest, Nikki Sixx, Tori Amos, King Diamond, Bruce Dickinson, Joan Jett and Blondie – bringing their songs, albums and biographies to life in graphic novel form.
He lives in Los Angeles, where he also writes and directs independent films, including the award-winning short, DIE.
