Andrew Sawyers walked out of the John Rennie Mackintosh school of art when offered a job by Geoff Senior at Marvel UK based on a portfolio review in 1997 but ended up taking a completely different direction.
They would reconnect on Senior’s Dragons Claw ‘ To the Death’ book, where Sawyers co-created Lupex with Simon Furman.
Sawyers has gone on to be published by Shift, Scar Comics, Caulkhead Comics, Rewriting Extinction and 77 Publishing these past four years. His work is also sought after by bands such as The Aggros and Memoriam.
He is considered as one of the UK’s most exciting indie artists, and Andrew will be signing at The ’77 booth all weekend.
