Vijay is a former professional tennis player, reaching the height of world #16 in 1980. He then moved into acting where he was best known as the MI6 agent, also called Vijay, in the 1983 James Bond film Octopussy alongside Roger Moore. Further appearances include Starship Captain in Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home, Rankin in Nine Deaths of the Ninja and Doctor in Walker, Texas Ranger.
After his acting career, he returned to his love of sports and became a sports commentator
